Fashion Trends Amidst A Pandemic

Just like other depressions and historic events have changed the way we dress, this pandemic has been no different. COVID-19 has changed all of our daily routines, plans, and lifestyles as we know it. The fashion world has been greatly impacted and forced to adapt quickly to the needs of its customers as many have shifted from workwear to loungewear. I don’t know about you, but I definitely have not been in the mood to get dressed up while binge watching Netflix. Although, I still find myself wanting to feel somewhat fashionable. Here are some trends I have been noticing not only myself wearing but all over social media:

1. Matching Sets

A matching set is not only simple, but makes you feel put together even when you are just wearing sweats or activewear. Tie dying has been a popular quarantine activity for many and has been seen in countless recent clothing drops. These are some sets that have caught my eye:

2. Quality Basics

You can never go wrong with good basics. Paired with anything, the perfect fitting tank, biker shorts, or bodysuit can be worn over and over in quarantine. The better quality, the better it can withstand washing and wearing constantly during your busy schedule of doing… well…nothing! Here are some of my favorite basics that I have been wearing repeatedly:

3. Designer Masks

Although designer masks were already a thing before this pandemic, they didn’t have nearly the same amount of attraction as they do now. Even though these masks aren’t as affective as medical masks in fighting against COVID-19, many are still using them as a fashion statement when out of the house. Heron Preston, Takashi Murakami, Off-White, and even Drew House have been taking advantage of this trending market.

After quarantine fashion will definitely be interesting and I can’t wait to get glam again. I am predicting some bold and fun clothing to come! Until then, hope you all are staying safe and please WEAR A MASK!
